To make use of your library’s services, such as borrowing catalogue items, you’ll first need a library account with a pin code. Creating an account is free, and you can use your account at any library in Värmland.

If you’re 18 years or older, please follow these steps to create a library account:

1. Visit the website www.bibliotekvarmland.se/protected/bibliotekskonto and fill in the application form. You can do this either at home or at the library.
2. Visit any library in Värmland to sign the agreement that will allow you to use library services. Please bring valid photo identification with you.

If you’d like, we can issue you with a physical library card connected to your library account, although you don’t need a physical card to be able to use library services. Please contact your local library if you lose your card for any reason, so the library staff can help you to cancel it.

If you’re under the age of 18, you can create a library account by filling in a special agreement available on the website and at local libraries. Your legal guardian must sign this agreement on your behalf.

You must have a Swedish Personal Identity Number (personnummer) to be able to fill in the online application form for a library account. If you don’t have a Personal Identity Number, please visit your local library and ask for help instead.
